You’ve said in the past that you’re not a fan of colored inks and dyes. Inexplicably, I am more comfortable working with them than I am with watercolors. Please refresh my flagging memory. What do you see as the issues with that medium?
Well, dyes are dyes and watercolors are pigments, usually. Dyes are inherently unstable. I didn't say I wasn't a fan of colored inks. I'm perfectly happy with colored inks if they are lightfast. Dyes are not lightfast. Not all pigments are either. But dyes rarely if ever are. You have to research each color you use in each medium. I mean, I like pastel, but it is a notoriously delicate medium. You can use what you want. But if something isn't lightfast, you put that on a wall, it's going to fade pretty fast. That's true of any non lightfast paint too, BTW.
I scrolled this article to see how long it was, and upon spoiling the final pic for myself (ugh!), simultaneously thought of BWS when I glanced those final images. That said, I thought it prudent to keep that thought to myself since it's uncertain whether or not you'd accept the comparison as the compliment it would be offered as —since it's so hard to compliment people anymore!
Anyway, I was tickled pink when you made the reference yourself, so I can now hail you as being (IMHO) as good as BWS or anyone else in "The Studio".
Back in the day I used a Hunt 100, 107, and 108 as my main pen nibs. As I am essentially learning to draw all over again, I’m not sure what toolset I’m going to fall in love with yet.

Oy. All those details, yo! 1000 times wow.
