Colleen, if a publisher wants to work with you, how far in advance would they need to reach out to you on a prospective project? It seems like you're booked on projects maybe 2 years out?
It depends. I like a lot of lead. I book months in advance, and I have a lot of old work I need to catch up on as well. But if it's something special, I'll make room for it, though I am prioritizing commissions and A DISTANT SOIL when GOOD OMENS is complete.
Thank you so much. I have a limited license with DC Comics to make prints. However, print sales are limited to conventions only. I don't have any of these particular pieces available, but I have another piece I will post soon which will be available at my appearances this summer.
I recommend Snow, Glass, Apples to just about everyone I know who needs an entry into comics that isn't a superhero book. I really love that book, Colleen.
First of all, if it were ever possible, I'd love to see a collection of all the brush and ink Sandman and Death pieces, whether it be a PDF, or something physical you arrange with DC Comics.
Your comment on 1929 reminded me of a great book I read this year:
It's an oral history of the events that led to the 1929 stock market crash. It's amazing to read in retrospect- the complete lack of regulation led to multiple schemes to artificially escalate the prices of stocks, and the whole nation played along. The book is incredibly entertaining- I devoured it in a few days.
I am always in awe of your ink and brush pieces, for they are always so beautifully envisioned.
I know how much of a challenge it is to do something like that -- to have the image so clearly in one's mind that the ink goes to precisely the right place. I can sometimes hit that myself, but more often there is at least a little under-drawing involved.
I really admire the way you challenge yourself in different ways of working!

Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful drawings. They are not only exceptionally well-done, they also capture the essence of Death. Thank you for sharing.
Can you buy these as prints?

These are amazing! The gold ink is really striking in the B&W drawing
Striking and gorgeous!
Those are BEAUTIFUL. Wow.
Neat! I love the design for the flapper a lot, so delightfully period with so few simple lines!

Spectacular!
A few years ago Bill Sienkiewicz had a post on Facebook. He said, stop erasing and trust yourself. It really lead me to growth as an artist.
I love all of them so much!
Those are beautiful!❤️
