Just a stray thought: DC should have a very large statue made in honor of Curt Swan and place it in whatever location they wish to create their “Hall of Fame”. They say you should never meet your heroes. It’s a good thing I don’t always listen. I would have missed out on getting to know an amazing man, as well as an amazing artist.

Heh… “wiseacre”. I love having a conversation with someone who uses words and phrases like they’re in a movie from the 1940s.

I’m only an ancient fan but I never stop thinking about it.

Should also note that the other person who did really well with the Legion was of course Paul Levitz. Query whether he would have stayed on staff to rise to the top without being able to make the relatively big bucks from scripting and/or writing (two different things there) the Legion.

A lot of creators will never understand or accept that the lot of most creators is eternal obscurity. That's why it's important to remember that you made art in the first place because you enjoyed it. Everything else is not entirely in your control.
