I learn so much from you about colorfastness of various art materials that I never knew before. I truly appreciate how you share the information.

Great advice! Thanks! I passed this to my teenager. She loves illustrating and is working on a graphic novel project.

My kids started doing art tutorials recently and the instructor recommends alcohol markers. They have a love-hate relationship with them because they look good, but they bleed so much. I'm iffy on them because it seems to be a crap-shoot on which colours you get when ordering a set.

I did enough research to know that markers need to be stored on their side, thank goodness, but I didn't know that "permanent" isn't the same as "lightfast". Thanks so much for the tip, Colleen!

I rarely use marker but I have a set or two (show me an artist who isn’t seduced by different media) and this article explains the condition they are in! Do you have any recommendations for brands for colour work? Part of me feels I should learn to use them more. Thanks!

I too am interested in which brands of markers you have found to be lightfast.

I wrongly assumed Copics were lightfast. Thank you for sharing this! Do you have any recommendations for acid free metallic marker pens?
