I’d rather have a healthy Colleen Doran and a late book than any other option. Thanks for sharing. What a year, and how wonderful that you’re finding a way through.

Wow. Thankful you made it with your sense of humor, etc. intact. All the best to you always.

This is A LOT. Thanks for sharing. I had long Covid for half of 2022 (been calling it Lo-vid, like it's been branded by Jennifer Lopez) and the cognitive issues are so debilitating. It's like having concussion for months on end. I wasn't even that dopey when I was waking up at 4am to present breakfast radio. Hope you're feeling stronger, and don't apologise for the Kickstarter - do you know how many of them never even turn up? You're already ahead of the curve on that...

You look beautiful. The haircut suits you. And I'm with Sabrina and Skippy--you're far more important than deadlines. Take care of yourself, we're happy to wait.

💚 I’m so glad you’ve gotten through to the other side. Kickstarters can wait. I’ll enjoy it when it comes. Please just get well.

Yikes! That is rough. I had no idea. Glad you made it through to the other side. Looking forward to the graphic novel when it is finished. Take all the time you need.

I am completely sympathetic. Autoimmune, CovID - twice!, cancer, shattered leg, and cataracts. Helluva life - but its the only one we have and if I need to go down, it will be swinging for the bleachers!

Good on ya! Looking forward to the Graphic Novel whenever it becomes a reality!

Forward! ;)

Good luck.

Your health is more imporatant than the book. Really

Colleen, this is such a moving account of your struggles with your health, which dwarf my own. You are so admirable in how you got through it all and returned to doing your current work; I think your recent adaptations of Neil’s works are the best work of your career. And yes, the new short hair is a good look for you.

You've had quite a stack of ordeals last year, I'm glad things have gone so well for you in the resolutions. You're back to looking wonderful, by the way.

Honestly, don't worry so much about the deadline - make it if you can, but (I say this with all due respect to creators) a mildly late project is not the worst thing that can happen on Kickstarter. I'm still awaiting fulfillment on things that were due literally years ago. I think most people are patient enough and love the original material and your work and are willing to accept a little delay, especially under the circumstances.

And again, I'm so glad you're doing better. You rocked as a teen, and this is your ultimate stadium performance now! (Yeah, I've been a fan for a loooong time.)

So sorry about the health issues. I also have auto-immune disease. Couldn't believe you lopped off all that beautiful hair. But you certainly look healthier now. We love you Colleen.

Do the book right, and make sure that you are taken care of. Properly. If the book is a little late (or even a lot late) then it's late. We'll survive.

Thank you for sharing all that you do. As someone still working to break into the industry, your advice and experiences you share are invaluable. And I didn't even know about all of this, but it genuinely makes me respect you more. Thank you, and please, stick around, eh?
