A part of me hesitates to bring this up because there is so much negativity going around, and I think we all need a break from crazy.
But as someone who has been through the wringer with what I tend to think is more than my fair share of stalkers (I could be just whiny, I dunno,) disinformation campaigns, and the general dystopia of the industry rumor mill, I think this is important to watch.
If you wonder why some of us hesitate to make judgments about rumors, to step in to save people who have horror stories to share, or why we simply don't want to answer private messages, then this show is for you.
Maybe someday I'll write more about it, but I've been targeted more than once by things like this, and so have many of my pro friends.
"If you wonder why some of us hesitate to make judgments about rumors, to step in to save people who have horror stories to share, or why we simply don't want to answer private messages..." thank you for this. Managing the permeability of that fourth wall is a dicey business for artists of all kinds, even leaving aside the complications of identity on the internet.
Thanks for sharing that; I’ll watch it later to see if it’s something I can watch with my 12 & 14yr old to give them more perspective on why I and their mom are worried about more social media for them
