After careful consideration re: health and professional concerns, I regret to inform you that I have had to cancel my upcoming appearance at DragonCon.
You remain a hero of mine and ever shall be. Basically since that day in the spring of 1999 when I cluelessly stumbled into your tent at the Virginia Renaissance Faire and hadn't the faintest idea in whose exalted presence I was:
Oh my gosh, I can't believe you remember me! I'm so glad to see those photos, thank you! You know, I was actually thinking of Getting Away From It All next year and doing another Renfaire! What happy memories, thank you!
My sympathies to the DragonCon fans who were looking forward to seeing you there, but I totally applaud your decision to take care of yourself -- especially at this time, when you can see the end of the Good Omens project approaching. You don't want to stumble on it now, which is perfectly understandable!
Continue to take care of yourself and keep up the absolutely amazing work you have been doing on the book!
Take care if yourself! No artist, no art! AND, I'm amazed ppl are going to conventions right now, nobody's masking and there's a giant surge, "with viral activity levels in wastewater the highest they’ve been for a summer surge since July 2022, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s wastewater dashboard" as reported by CNN.
Your health comes first, darn near everyone ends up with Covid after D*Con, and it's why your advice is always easy to take- you follow it yourself!
Feel betta soon!
I've been masked up at every show and haven't gotten sick at all, but it only takes ONE MISTAKE and I blow this deadline. So...no.
Even before Covid, concrud is a real thing. We should've probably been masking all along at these things.
Anyway, I concur with everyone else here--your health and wellbeing is far more important than anything else, Colleen!
I’m going to be masked at all appearances in future, I’ve gotten seriously ill numerous times at conventions, con crud is definitely a thing.
Take care of yourself, please!! Your heath is paramount. There will be other conventions, but only one you.
Absolutely the right decision, take care Colleen.
Please take care! I agree wholeheartedly! 💖
Illness can be so unpredictable and contrary; you’re making the best decision for yourself and your project (and future projects!) ❤️
Be and stay safe and healthy!
Godspeed, hope you feel better soon! Myself and your many fans are always rooting for you.
Focus on yourself and I hope you feel better and check off more stuff on your list soon!!
Just do you right now ❤️

Take care of YOU, from a (now) fellow comic book illustrator. I and the rest of your legions of admirers aren't going anywhere.

Your health comes first. I tried to be so careful at SDCC this year and still ended up with Covid
Oh, no!!!
You have to do what is good for you to keep healthy and your strength up. Your fans will understand. Take care of yourself
Take care and feel better!! I'll be sending good thoughts your way. :)
